We have learned that Samsung has started to develop a foldable smartphone before MWC 2014. The project is codenamed “Project Valley” or “Project V”. According to Samsung's plan, this foldable smartphone will be available for sale in 2016. In addition, according to the latest exposure information, Samsung may release this product in January 2016.

Samsung is currently testing two different configurations, one of which uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor and the other with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

Both versions will use 3GB of system memory, a microSD card slot for extended storage, and a non-removable battery. Samsung is currently testing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor to ensure that there will be no overheating problems like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810.
