With the shortage of labor and cost problems in the maritime industry, JRCS is determined to adopt new technologies to cope with it. The goal is to become one of the more and more companies that use the HoloLens MR system to train employees and improve workplace safety. JRCS supplies and maintains power and automation systems for the global marine industry. Recently, it cooperated with Microsoft. As part of the project, the project uses MR and artificial intelligence as part of its efforts to increase efficiency, accelerate maintenance, and train new employees. The company will test the combination of Microsoft HoloLens and the Azure AI system to train merchant shipping and maritime industry personnel, including marine and land crews. To increase safety and reduce workload, JRCS will equip its engineers with a HoloLens head display that will show ongoing repairs and correct maintenance procedures. The company will also work with Microsoft Language Translation Services to improve employee cooperation and cross-language obstacle training. JRCS is also working with Microsoft to explore the possibility of using artificial intelligence and "Internet of Things" services to operate multiple ships on the shore through "digital captains." It is expected that the digital captain system will be ready by 2030 and will be able to use mixed reality to share 3D charts with human users and to check the sea, weather and oceanographic terrain to ensure safety and efficiency.
