Huawei VR versions do not display well

On April 15, Huawei held the Huawei P9 conference in Shanghai. At the conference, Huawei not only brought its latest flagship smartphone, the Huawei P9, but also unexpectedly announced its first generation of VR glasses products.

According to Huawei, the product is named "Huawei VR" and adopts a head-mounted design. The latency is only 20 milliseconds, which is one-fifth that of similar products. Users do not feel vertigo.

However, foreign media reported recently that Huawei's VR glasses have a fundamentally different design from Gear VR, although they are similar to Samsung Gear VR.

According to foreign media, Huawei's VR glasses will distinguish between different versions of the adaptation, that is, the P9, P9 Plus, and Mate 8 products have different connection methods and different exterior designs. Each version cannot be used interchangeably.

The operation is almost the same as the Gear VR. Both rely on the touchpad and physical buttons on the right side of the VR glasses. Users who have used the Gear VR can quickly get started.

According to the experience users, Huawei's VR display performance is not perfect, because Huawei's smart phones generally use 1080p resolution, which is much lower than the 2K resolution of Samsung Galaxy S7 series or Galaxy Note 5.

At present, Huawei does not announce the time to market and the price of the product. In other words, the users are now experiencing the prototype engineering machine, which will be improved in various aspects in the future.
