China's inland nuclear power plants will introduce anti-hydrogen explosion measures

He believes that it is not that nuclear power plants cannot be built inland, and that 60% of the world's nuclear power plants are inland. Now inland nuclear power plants will also be mentioned on the agenda, such as Xianning in Hubei, Taohuajiang in Hunan, and Pengze in Jiangxi. As long as the site is selected in accordance with the requirements stipulated by the nuclear safety regulations, it is safe.

Ye Qichen introduced that at present, China's nuclear power plants that have been put into operation are second-generation nuclear power plants. The vast majority of the world's 400 nuclear power plants belong to this category. Our level of nuclear power plants is equivalent to the level of the end of the last century or the beginning of this century. The third-generation nuclear power plants have taken measures to prevent and mitigate severe accidents such as the hydrogen explosion at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. We are still introducing and constructing third-generation nuclear power plants. For example, the AP1000 introduced from the United States has two in the three and two in Haiyang, so our technical level is ahead of others.
