The Erqi Memorial Tower was built in 1971 and is located in Erqi Square, Zhengzhou City. It was built to commemorate the strike of the workers of the Erqi. The Erqi Tower is adjacent to the major shopping malls around it and is the center of Zhengzhou's trade and economy. The night lighting project of the Erqi Memorial Tower was completed on August 5, 2007. The Erqi Memorial Tower is a parallel-connected tower with a total height of 63 meters and a total of 14 floors. The tower is novel, unique and majestic. It has the characteristics of Chinese national architecture. The top corner of each floor is antique picking cornices and green glazed tiles covering the top. There is a bell tower on the top of the tower, and a red five-star on the bell tower. The Erqi Memorial Tower is now known as the Erqi Memorial Hall.
