Su Feng, Chairman of Ronda, is optimistic about the overall lighting and backlight market in 2013. It is estimated that LED lighting will grow slowly. Orders have started to pick up since the second quarter, and the backlight part is new because of non-addition of non-AUO (2409-TW). Customers, shipments are expected to grow in multiples in 2012. It is estimated that Ronda's orders from backlights and lighting will grow in 2013. This year's product revenue share is partly 25% of the backlight and 1/3 of the lighting.
In the backlight section, Ronda added panel customers other than AUO. Last year, AUO's orders accounted for about 50-55% of the revenue, which is expected to drop to 40-45% this year, while non-AUO customers see 60%. In addition, Ronda’s semi-finished panel modules, which began to be laid out last year, are expected to be harvested this year.
