It is understood that prior to this, the international standards for terrestrial digital television broadcast transmission approved by ITU are the United States, Europe and Japan. In 2006, China launched its own digital terrestrial digital standard DTMB. In 2010, it established an expert group on the promotion of international standards for digital television. This standard has finally been recognized by ITU and incorporated into international standards in the last two years.

According to the SARFT plan, in 2012, 360 prefecture-level cities and 2077 counties will complete DTMB signal coverage, and the national bus mobile TV will be converted to the DTMB system. And becoming an international standard means that the standard can better participate in international competition. Previously, Hong Kong, China, and Macau, China have decided to use the DTMB standard. Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar will also use the DTMB standard. At the same time, there are still more than 100 countries in the world that do not have terrestrial digital television standards. The market space is still very broad.
