This 1.5MHz switching frequency boost converter features a wide output voltage range (9-33V) and integrates a switching NFET in an ultra-thin molded leadless package (UMLP) measuring only 3 x 3 x 0.6mm in.

The FAN5336 is smaller than the usual SOT package, but offers more features, including higher peak current (1.5A), 1.0A higher than competing devices; excellent input and load regulation (0.2%) ; and high switching frequency (1.5MHz). As a result, the FAN5336 helps minimize noise, heat generation and heat dissipation in cell phones and smart phones, MP3 players, medical devices and many other portable applications. In addition, the converter's high frequency allows the use of smaller components to help designers make the best use of board space while reducing design complexity.
