This controller is flexible and can be used to drive the buck, boost and buck-boost driver circuits by driving external field effect transistors (FETs). In boost mode, it can accurately drive up to twenty high current LEDs.

The ZXLD1371 features a patent-pending control loop and single-resistor high-side current sensing and provides a typical 1% output current tolerance to improve brightness control and brightness matching of the fixture. Users can use this LED driver controller to adjust the brightness over a wide dynamic range with a DC dimming ratio of 20:1 and a pulse width modulation ratio of 1000:1, making light control at lower brightness more accurate.
To further enhance the reliability of LED luminaire systems, the ZXLD1371 is equipped with a dedicated external thermistor input that provides temperature management of the LEDs. The thermistor input, combined with a fault diagnostic output, reports the LED load and the condition of the drive, helping to extend the life of the LED. The new LED driver controller is packaged in a TSSOP-16EP package that reduces external inductor values ​​with a switching frequency of up to 1MHz, minimizing circuit size.
